Vernell's first began in 1960, when owner Vernell Sellars opened an auto repair shop out of his home in Herrin, Illinois. The business soon grew, adding towing and recovery services. In the early 1980s, taking note of an increase in traffic and expansion along Interstate 57, Vernell moved the business from Herrin to Marion, Illinois, building what is now known as Vernell's Interstate Service. Today, our 14-bay, 20,000-square-foot facility features a heavy-duty repair shop and fully-stocked parts and tire departments.
